A Print at Home ticket with a custom background can be configured globally: that is - one custom background that is used for every production on a single booking skin. See Understanding the use of multiple skins - FAQ for more information. Once configured globally it is then possible to override that default custom background with a different custom background for each production on the skin, so you could be using the default custom background for most productions/events and then a custom background specifically designed for a single production. The custom background tickets allow for only 1 ticket per page.

Step 1:

You need to design the custom background PDF that will be used for the background of the ticket. Make sure you leave a gap where the ticket will go.

If you go to your organisation's Web Control Panel <YourCountry.patronbase.com/_OrgID/Admin> > Web Module Settings > Cart and scroll down to Print at Home Options you will see the types of Print At Home tickets available to you. Select 'Custom Background Style' and Save Settings

Click on Sample Print at Home PDF

And you will see where the ticket is currently placed:

Note: If your organisation already has a default ticket design and you are wanting to change the design to be specific to a production or event, do not change the default ticket design. Read from step 3 of the instructions below to create a ticket design specific to the production or event.

The Placement of this ticket can be adjusted here:

So you need to adjust the ticket on the page to work with the final design you have in mind. Make a gap for the ticket in your design.

Tips: As you design, think about your patrons who may be printing the ticket.
Some present from their phones, many will still have inkjet printers.
Is the design going to be very heavy on ink usage?

Key elements:

Key elements of ticket designs often include logos, promoter logo/advertising requirements.

Some customers choose to include a map of the venue, directions and parking.

Step 2:

Once you have your design in A4 PDF format with a space for the ticket where you want it to be, click choose file to upload it:

Make sure you use the Save Settings button (bottom right of the window) after you have performed the upload.

Then continue to use the Sample Print at Home PDF button to check it. You may need to readjust your design a few times until you are happy with it.

If you are only using one custom background ticket design for all productions on the booking skin then once you are happy with your design and sample ticket then that is all you need to do.

If you're wanting to use a different background design for any production you will need to do the following:

Step 3: Adding a custom background design for a specific production

Firstly, you will need to make sure the custom background ticket style has been selected for the booking skin on a global level and that the default ticket design has been set up (see above instructions).

Next, in your organisation's Web Control Panel <YourCountry.patronbase.com/_OrgID/Admin> > Click on List Details > Click Edit on the production you would like to upload a custom background design for

Scroll down to Print at Home Options and select Use custom background

Design your A4 Print at Home PDF specific to this production leaving a gap for the ticket and using the offset settings to position the ticket. Upload using Choose file and use Sample Print At Home PDF to check your design:

Don't forget to click Save Changes to save your changes prior to checking the sample.

Repeat this process for any productions which require a separate ticket design.

If at any point you need to change back to the default ticket design you can do that by selecting Use default background and clicking Save Changes.
